A typical steppe and forest-steppe species which due to its versatile strategy for reproduction can turn quickly into a ruderal. The species, though present in Moldavia, Dobrudja, Valachia and the Pannonian Basin is totally absent seemingly from Transylvania, despite some sporadic old reports of the species there.

Eforie Sud, near Techirghiol Lake, Constanta county, 9th of August 2006
